Peel Valley Group has been an enthusiastic supporter of the New South Wales school-based traineeship scheme since the early 2000's.
This outstanding initiative enables High School students in Year 11 and 12 to continue with their schooling towards achievement of the Higher School Certificate, and at the same time start a rewarding career as a Service Technician, regularly attending our workplace as well as TAFE.
Successful trainees emerge at the end of Year 12 with a Higher School Certificate, a nationally recognised Certificate II in Automotive Servicing Technology and the first year of a four year apprenticeship completed.
Applicants are sought in Year 10 of High School to commence traineeships at the beginning of Year 11.
The School Based Trainee program offered by Peel Valley Group is a great way to enter a trade whilst finishing your HSC. I started as a trainee in 2015 and now in 2020 I’m a fully qualified Heavy Vehicle Technician with Peel Valley Trucks in Tamworth.
